New machine for sale!
We are offering this 2021 HORIZON StitchLiner 6000 booklet-making line, equipped with the ACF-30S, SPF-30S, HTS-30S and IFU-30S modules. This configuration allows sheet gathering, saddle stitching, folding and three-knife trimming to be completed in a single production process.
HORIZON specifies a maximum production speed of 6,000 booklets per hour, making this line a suitable solution for commercial printers and print finishing companies looking to automate saddle-stitched booklet production while reducing manual handling between finishing stages.
Equipped with three gathering towers, each with 8 stations, for a total of 24 stations, the machine can produce booklets of up to 96 pages. Its counter currently shows approximately 8 million booklets produced.
The machine is currently installed in western France, powered on and visible in production. An on-site inspection is possible before purchase.
Availability: late November 2026.
An integrated, automated booklet-making line
The HORIZON StitchLiner 6000 combines the main finishing operations in a single production line. The ACF-30S module gathers the sheets before transferring them to the SPF-30S for saddle stitching and folding. The booklets are then conveyed to the HTS-30S, which performs three-knife trimming. The IFU-30S module completes this configuration.
Its three 8-station gathering towers allow the assembly of booklets of up to 96 pages. This setup takes the process from gathered sheets to finished booklets without transferring the work between separate machines. It streamlines production flow and reduces manual intervention between stages.
High production speed and formats suited to booklet production
The StitchLiner 6000 offers a stated maximum production speed of 6,000 booklets per hour, depending on format, paper stock and production conditions.
It handles sheet sizes from 199 × 140 mm to 500 × 350 mm and processes standard paper stocks from 53 to 210 gsm, as well as coated stocks from 74 to 210 gsm. Its stated maximum stitching thickness is 5 mm.
These specifications make it suitable for a wide range of applications, including commercial brochures, catalogues, programmes and promotional materials, within the machine’s supported format range.
A control system designed to reduce setup times
The machine features a colour touchscreen and a memory capable of storing up to 200 jobs. Repeat jobs can therefore be recalled more easily, reducing preparation time when changing production runs.
The automated adjustments of the finishing modules also facilitate format changes. According to the manufacturer, switching from A4 to A5 can be completed in less than 30 seconds under the specified operating conditions.
This automation simplifies operation and reduces operator intervention when changing jobs.
Inline saddle stitching, folding and three-knife trimming
The SPF-30S module performs saddle stitching and folding, with a stated maximum stitching thickness of 5 mm.
At the end of the line, the HTS-30S performs three-knife trimming. Its trimming width can be adjusted from 2 to 25 mm to achieve the required finished booklet dimensions.
Integrating these operations streamlines the finishing process and produces booklets ready for packing.
StitchLiner 6000 or StitchLiner Mark III: two different production layouts
The StitchLiner 6000 stands out for its landscape sheet feeding and gathering system, as well as its straight-line configuration, unlike the StitchLiner Mark III, which uses a U-shaped layout. The inline arrangement makes the StitchLiner 6000 easier to integrate into print shops with limited floor space or layout constraints. It therefore offers an automated booklet-making solution for printers where machine footprint is a key consideration.
The Mark III offers greater versatility in terms of formats and job types, particularly for landscape-format booklets. The StitchLiner 6000 cannot produce landscape-format booklets.
The choice between the two systems therefore depends on production requirements, the formats being processed and the available floor space.
