RYOBI 785E – 2010 – Five-colour offset printing press
RYOBI 785E five-colour offset printing press, manufactured in 2010, in good condition and currently in production in France. This straight-configuration press, without perfecting, is equipped with numerous automation features designed to facilitate adjustments, ensure reliable sheet feeding, and reduce makeready and cleaning times.
The machine has a particularly interesting history: installed at the same printing company since 2011, it has never been moved and has been operated by the same press operator, who has taken good care of it.

A compact and functional configuration
The RYOBI 785E features a straight configuration, without a perfecting unit. Its control screen and operating console are positioned at the delivery section of the press. This layout reduces the machine's overall footprint while keeping the controls close to the delivery area.
Its printing format makes it suitable for a wide range of commercial printing applications and short- to medium-run production.
A semi-automatic plate changing system
The press is equipped with the SAPC system, which facilitates plate changing. This system simplifies plate mounting on the plate cylinders, reduces manual handling and helps shorten makeready times between jobs.
Print control and colour management
The RYOBI 785E features two complementary control systems: PDS-K and PDS-E Spectro.
The PDS-K system is designed to control print density. It measures ink density on printed sheets and helps the operator correct deviations from the reference sheet. This contributes to maintaining consistent ink density throughout the print run.
The PDS-E Spectro provides spectrophotometric colour control. It allows printed colours to be compared with reference values, helping improve colour consistency and repeatability throughout production.
Together, these systems facilitate quality control and the adjustments required during the print run.
Precise register adjustments
The press features a remote plate register control system with lateral, vertical and diagonal adjustments. These corrections allow the relative positioning of the different colours to be adjusted to achieve accurate colour-to-colour registration.
Remote adjustment facilitates corrections during production and contributes to precise register.
Reliable sheet feeding
The machine is equipped with a suction-tape feeding system. The suction tape holds the sheets and promotes their consistent transport towards the front lays. This design also facilitates feeder adjustments when changing sheet formats.
An ultrasonic double-sheet detector monitors the paper feed to detect when two sheets enter the press simultaneously. It helps prevent feeding incidents and reduces the risk of jams or damage caused by double feeding.
RYOBI-matic dampening system with TECHNOTRANS unit
The press is equipped with the RYOBI-matic dampening system, which regulates the supply of dampening solution to the offset plate. Maintaining the correct balance between ink and dampening solution is essential for stable printing and for minimising quality variations during production.
The TECHNOTRANS unit circulates and cools the dampening solution. Temperature control helps stabilise printing conditions throughout the run.
Double-diameter cylinders
The press features a double-diameter cylinder configuration, a mechanical design intended to promote sheet transfer and stability between printing units. This configuration helps guide sheets through the press, particularly when printing on delicate substrates.
Equipment to support production
The machine is fitted with a static eliminator, which helps reduce electrostatic charges on paper that can interfere with sheet separation and transport.
The powder spray system applies a fine layer of powder to printed sheets to reduce set-off between stacked sheets, particularly on heavily inked jobs.
The press also features a medium-height pile delivery with a 500 mm pile height, suitable for collecting printed sheets at the delivery end of the machine.
Automatic washing systems
The RYOBI 785E is equipped with automatic washing systems designed to simplify press maintenance and reduce downtime.
These systems help reduce makeready times and simplify routine press operation.
Well-maintained history and available for inspection in production
Installed at the same printing company since 2011, this RYOBI 785E has never been moved. It has been operated by the same press operator, who has taken good care of it.
The machine is reported to be in good condition, with no damage, and is currently running in production in France. It can be inspected at its installation site, allowing prospective buyers to assess its condition and operation before purchase.
